Student Researcher Sophia-Rose Snelgrove secures funding to understand the impacts of warming on cranberry nutrition
Sophia applied for a secured a grant through the Esposito Family Centre for Innovation Entrepreneurship Innovation Grant this June 2025. This grant will enable Sophia to expand her directed study research into the effects of in field warming, which simulates future climate scenarios, on nutraceutical composition in cranberries, to generate full nutritional profiles in cranberries. Her research will compare different varieties planted in the Fraser Valley, to determine if nutritional quality of berries is impacted by warming, and if so if different varieties respond differently. Congratulations Sophia!
