BERRI Lab Members present at Plant Biology 2026 in Ottawa

Visiting Researcher Pawan Sandhu, Undergraduate Researcher Fabiola Cruz Alderete & Dr. Erland presented work in the lab at Plant Biology 2026 in Ottawa this July.

Pawan presented work from her PhD and new research developing methods for hormone profiling in kelp.

Fabiola presented on work with Pawan on drought stress mechanisms in Arctic plants.

Dr. Erland chaired a session on wildfire resilience and presented on work on the ongoing BC Parks Living Labs supported project characterizing the role of wildfire derived karrikins in ecosystem recovery.
